Quinta da Cheira is located in the parish of Mazedo 100 meters from the Brejoeira of Palace, due to the sun exposure and microclimate of this region in 1990 was planted the first vineyard, the Quinta has its own vineyards, with an area of 2 hectares in simple cordon. Despite the estate being family owned,  it is important to say that the winemaking uses traditional methods and modern equipment. The grapes are carefully selected, the must is clarified at 14 ° C for 24 hours and the fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature for three weeks in stainless steel vats. Before bottling, the wine goes thru a process of stabilizing for a week and after bottling the wine is aged in the bottle. The fruity aroma and delicate, the good structure that results from its dry extract and the persistent flavor in the mouth, are qualities that stand out when drunk at a temperature of 10 to 12°C.

The Alvarinho wine harvested exclusively in Monção and Melgaço sub region, has in Quinta da Cheira one of its most illustrious representatives, recognized not only in Portugal but also abroad with several awards.

We combine traditional methods, we minimize the use of complex processes focusing and we focused on the basics of soil, vine and grape and modern equipment in our production. Grapes are carefully selected, and the grape-must is lighten at 14º ªC during for 24 hours and fermented at controlled temperature between two and three weeks in stainless steel vats. This reserve is made with hand-harvested and carefully selected grapes from our 20 years old wvineyards over 20 years old from our terroir. After been pressinged, the resultingant grape-must is fermented and , staysing on the fine lees with a periodic batonnage of for six months. Finally the wine it is aged in oak barks.

Is a wine that has a complex and mineral aroma, fresh wine in the mouth, flavored, full-bodied, balanced and very complex taste, defining the taste of the variety.
